The Secret Link Between Emma Goldman and Ayn Rand

In the documentary Anarchism in America The wonderful Karl Hess describes his transition from Barry Goldwater speechwriter to anarchist. I can only imagine how orthodox liberals and conservatives would blow their sprockets when they hear Hess compare Emma Goldman to Ayn Rand and explain that he found in anarchism what he had hoped for from the Republican party!

  1. The R party is screwed unless they get some new fresh pro-AMERICANS in there.
But it looks like the anarchy is coming from the left, in fact the left is setting up the right, probably to shut them up forever. I hope they will be happy having no dissent to detrying the nation.

    • I really wish I knew what you’re talking about. The Republicans will be back, eventually, when America gets sick of the liberals again. (As for “fresh” pro-Americans, I think this is what the switch in tone from Bill O’Reilly to the vulgar court-libertarianism of Glenn Beck is about.) Reagan, Clinton, Bush, Obama, the wheel spins and spins . . . but the corporate center cannot hold forever. Anarchy from the left? Probably not. Like a good boxer, anarchy must attack with coordinated right-left combinations. Emma Goldman, Ayn Rand. Kropotkin and Rothbard. An uppercut of Ben Tucker.

  3. Odelay! was the best album of the 1990’s, but it’s been downhill from there.
